You may cancel your reservation and get 100% of your money back within 14 days of booking. After that 2-week window, our lifetime deposit policy comes into effect: if something unexpected comes up and you need to cancel your trip, get in touch with us - as long as you give us 60 days notice, your deposit will be good forever, whether you use it for the same trip at a later date, or any of our other trips. Contrary to most other travel companies, we'll never charge you a cancellation fee.
Please note that many of our Rides fill up months in advance and having to turn people away means foregone revenue for us. Also, we make hotel reservations several months in advance, and in some cases, book in-country flights and make other travel arrangements that cannot be refunded. For these reasons, we require 60 days notice for cancellations. If you need to cancel within 60 days of your scheduled departure, you will be forfeiting the full amount of your Ride, including your deposit. We therefore strongly urge you to purchase trip cancellation insurance.
If an emergency occurs, and you need to depart the CR RGA trip early, we cannot provide any type of refund for leaving the trip early. We highly recommend you purchase trip interruption insurance to cover you for emergencies and unexpected travel costs, if needed.
CANCELLATIONS BY US
Each of our departures are guaranteed - once you've booked your spot(s), you're going. This gives you the peace of mind to start looking for flights and making other arrangements right away. Again, contrary to many other travel companies, we will never cancel a trip due to low numbers.
'ACTS OF GOD', POLITICAL DISTURBANCES AND OTHER ISSUES AFFECTING TRIP DEPARTURE
In very rare occasions, a situation arises beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or other similar events that may affect our ability to deliver a safe and enjoyable trip. In this case, we consult extensively with our local staff to ascertain the possibility of running a safe trip. Our cancellation policy is as follows:- If our local staff feel the trip can go ahead without undue risk to our clients’ safety, then the trip will go ahead and if the customer decides to cancel then that is treated as a passenger cancellation.- If we feel it would be unsafe to run a trip as scheduled, then the trip is cancelled and we give you a spot on another departure of the same trip, or a full credit to use towards any of our other trips.Please rest assured that your safety is our #1 concern, and we would not run a trip if we felt your safety would be compromised.
Travel medical insurance is mandatory for all of our trips. If you don't have insurance, you can purchase discounted comprehensive insurance from bikeflights.com or World Nomads directly via our site at our insurance page. We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive insurance, including trip cancellation and interruption: if anything should happen to you before or during your trip, your investment will be covered.
The purchaser understands that weather is beyond our control, and that in no instance can a refund be processed as a result of poor weather conditions that may have affected the Ride's quality.
